Olivia Moon
Olivia Moon is a Boston-based, multidisciplinary artist specializing in photography, videography, dance, and pole dance. Across all mediums, she borrows aspects of her personal identity as a queer, female-identifying, Asian-American woman, to highlight underrepresented voices in her communities. Olivia was born in Connecticut, but raised in Los Angeles, where she grew up studying dance at The Vonder Haar Center for the Performing Arts; she returned to the East Coast to attend high school at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Olivia has also trained with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Joffrey Chicago, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Upon graduating Boston University with a BS in Health Sciences, she started her own business: Olivia Moon Photography/halfasianlens. Olivia dances with local contemporary dance companies, KAIROS Dance Theater and VLA Dance, and participates in various independent projects. Pole dance continues to be a fundamental aspect of her dance training, as well as her self-confidence; she currently teaches at Boston Pole Fitness. In other professional terms, Olivia loves “chillin” with her cats and buying $7 lattes.
